About Jonathan Mahapa

Jonathan Mahapa is senior consultant at Meropa Communications. He previously held the position of account manager at Text 100 Global Public Relations and Fleishman-Hillard Johannesburg.

Between 2009 and 2010, he was the media relations and communications lead for the International Telecoms Union (ITU), a specialised ICT agency of the United Nations.

Mahapa’s previous experience in Public Relations focused primarily on IT and telecoms, financial and professional services, executive search and selection, agriculture, timber, marketing, and cosmetics industries.

Between 2004 and 2009, he worked for various Public Relations agencies including Beachhead Media and Investor Relations, Tish Stewart Public Relations and Letsema Communications, specialising in media relations, PR, investor relations, events and project management.

Mahapa has a National Diploma in Public Relations Management (majoring in media studies, communications science and public relations) from the Vaal University of Technology.

He is also passionate about cooking, fast cars, tech gadgets and financial literacy matters.
